The Lions will look to use the powers of Spider-Man to boost their 2019 Super Rugby chances.

South Africa’s Super Rugby teams will wear jerseys inspired by Marvel’s super heroes next year.

The move, to be used in local derbies, was confirmed by South African Rugby in a bid to boost fan interest.

The uniform designs haven’t been revealed yet but they are promising plenty.

The Bulls will feature the colours of Captain America, the Lions are aligned to Spider-Man, the Sharks’ kit will be inspired by Black Panther and the Stormers will be wearing Thor’s colours.

Amid ‘Black Panther’ Craze, African Clothing Retailers Marvel At Sales Boost

“Black Panther” has smashed records at the box office. It’s now the highest grossing superhero movie ever in the United States.

It has also sparked a boom in African clothing.

But can the buzz last? Some local businesses hope so.

Owner Ebby Ehionu welcomes a new customer on a recent Friday, asking him how he’s doing with a smile.

“This is beautiful. When you come in, this is like Africa,” he says.

“That’s right. That’s right. Thank you!” Ebby says.

Duvilaire is a dancer and choreographer. And he’s been thinking a lot about Africa ever since he saw the…
