Zoo Boise welcomes male African lion

BOISE, ID – Zoo Boise officials have announced the arrival of a new male African Lion. “Revan arrived at Zoo Boise over the weekend and is adjusting well to his new home,” said Boise Parks and Recreation spokeswoman Bonnie Shelton.

The four-year-old lion comes to Zoo Boise from Maryland, through a partnership with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Zoo Boise currently has two female lions, Mudiwa and Obadiah.

“Revan will be off-exhibit for some time while going through the usual quarantine period. Zookeepers at Zoo Boise will be working hard to make him comfortable and help Revan get to know his new surroundings,” Shelton said.
