‘We have to get people involved’; Northwest Coffee’s Jason Wilso

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) — From car washes to coffee shops, Jason Wilson credits his entrepreneurial spirit to his success. He is one of the only African-American coffee roasters in the country and he hopes his drive inspires others in the St. Louis community.

“We have to get more people involved, people have to see me, have to see folks in their city being the first to do stuff,” said Wilson.

Wilson bought Northwest Coffee in 2012 with little knowledge of how to operate coffee shops or roast coffee. But with the help of good employees has developed a loyal following at his Clayton and Central West End locations.
