Noah Lewis, of Upper Darby, has been participating in the annual stagings of Washington crossing the Delaware River for more than a decade.

With his passion for portraying black soldiers at American Revolution re-enactments and schools throughout the Delaware Valley — and one particular soldier at most of those events — a conversation with Lewis is like meeting two people in one.

The resident of Upper Darby, Delaware County, will again be one of dozens of Colonial re-enactors taking part in the annual stagings of Washington crossing the Delaware River on Sunday and again Christmas Day at Washington Crossing Historic Park in Upper Makefield.
