US sanctions Trinidad and Tobago nationals as key ISIS financial facilitators

WASHINGTON, USA — The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on Wednesday designated two Trinidad and Tobago nationals as Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) financiers pursuant to a presidential executive order, which targets terrorists and those providing support to terrorists or acts of terrorism.

The two individuals are:

Emraan Ali, born July 4, 1967, a Syria-based, dual US and Trinidadian national, was designated for acting for or on behalf of ISIS. He holds a Trinidad and Tobago passport no. TB162181 and a national ID no. 19670704052.
