Two young girls report sexual assault; cops hunting for suspect

Tobago police are investigating a report in which two young schoolgirls, aged eight and six, made reports of sexual assault.

Investigators reportedly received the reports on Tuesday.

Officials from the Child Protection Unit have been notified and are expected to oversee inquiries.

The two girls told teachers at a school in the sister isle that they had been victims for the past several weeks.

The teachers, then made a report to the principal of the school who in turn notified the police.

The two young girls were taken for medical examination, and reports were obtained.

The children gave the investigators a description of the suspect in this matter and a manhunt was launched.

More on this as it becomes available.
