Tropical Storm Kirk forms in Atlantic — but there’s plenty of time to watch it | Weather/Traffic


Tropical Storm Kirk has formed in the eastern Atlantic and is forecast to chug through the Caribbean Sea into next week, the National Hurricane Center said Saturday morning.

Kirk isn’t expected to strengthen much and remain a tropical storm as it moves westward through the Caribbean by Thursday.

The long-term forecast path and intensity for Kirk will come into sharper focus later next week.

Kirk is the 11th named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, which ends Nov. 30.
