Trinbago Knight Riders beat Guyana

THERE was an hour-long rain-delay midway through the Trinbago Knight Riders’ successful chase in the Caribbean Premier League final against Guyana, so the side was understandably a little bit impatient to kick off celebrations.

Looking to win a second straight CPL title, Trinbago held the Guyana Amazon Warriors to a modest total of 147 and looked well on track for victory at 1-65 when the skies opened. When the showers cleared, Colin Munro went about securing victory with a minimum of fuss, scoring an unbeaten 68 off 39 balls.

However, he didn’t get the job done quite as quickly as captain Dwayne Bravo would have liked.
