The Caribbean retreat loved by royalty and Hollywood stars being run by three Welsh sisters

It’s a 400-year-old former sugar plantation in Antigua which has been enjoyed as a home by a Welsh family for decades.

Now they have transformed The Great House in Mercers Creek into a “wellness retreat”, which will officially open for business from April 17.

The stunning retreat is set in 26 acres overlooking the sea. In the past, it has welcomed guests including the Kennedys, Greta Garbo, Princess Margaret and Humphrey Bogart.

It can cater for up to nine people and offers escape from the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Those checking in will be able to do everything from fitness and yoga to meditation and massage as well as meals prepared by the on-site nutritionist.

There’s also an outdoor pool with sea views.
