The 20th Annual African Renaissance Festival


The Festival includes a two-day conference, which will be held on Thursday, 24th and Friday, 25th May, a banquet, VIP cocktail event and a concert to be held on Saturday, 26th May at 6:30 pm. 

The African Renaissance Festival is held in May each year as part of the Africa Day celebrations, which are held on 25 May. 

Over the years a variety of themes have been addressed. The theme for the 2018 conference programme is inclusive social economic transformation. “Inclusive social economic transformation implies participation and benefit-sharing by vulnerable groups, which is the fundamental driver for job creation and economic growth in KwaZulu-Natal,” says Prof Sihawu Ngubane, chair of the African Renaissance organising committee.
