Watch Scottish cocaine smuggler enjoy birthday party inside Caribbean prison

A Scots drug smuggler who is serving a sentence in a Dominican Republic jail doesn’t seem to be letting prison life grind him down.

Daniel Squires, 30, was jailed for 10 years in 2010, for attempting to bring cocaine into the UK disguised as coffee.

The con, from Greenock, seems to be loving life in the disease-infested jail with a YouTube account featuring videos of him larking around with fellow cons.

One video shows Squires enjoying a birthday party with his fellow prisoners, complete with a birthday cake.

Sex, drugs and sausages: Notorious serial killer ‘Wild Bill’ of the Caribbean lifts lid on life in Panama prison

It’s 6.45am at a crowded Panamanian prison. And sitting in the shadows inside his cell, notorious serial killer William Dathan Holbert is already awake.

Locked up in a room with six other convicts, ‘Wild Bill’ is responsible for the brutal murders of five US citizens – including a teenage boy – in a Caribbean paradise.

Motivated by money, he slaughtered his innocent victims in the idyllic Bocas del Toro archipelago before burying their bodies on the grounds of a hostel he ran.

But in a rare WhatsApp video interview from behind bars, he shockingly tells Mirror Online: “I don’t view myself as a serial killer. I killed a bunch of people to make money.”

He adds: “I’m not that exceptional and the things I did are not that interesting really.”

Holbert, 39, boasts that he now lives a “rock star”…

Black Pennsylvania Prison Officers Claim Co-workers Made Racist Comments About Eating Watermelon and Fried Chicken

Two black corrections officers at a prison in Pennsylvania have filed a lawsuit against their employer, claiming they have suffered racial discrimination.

Iris Chambers and Lamar DeShields have both worked at the York County Prison for more than ten years. Chambers began at the prison in 2008 and DeShields in 2003.

In their lawsuit, the pair alleges the prison investigated them both “without good cause” and “shamelessly fabricated or otherwise embellished allegations in an attempt to justify its investigations and disciplinary actions” against them.
