MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) — An area high school student wants to help students halfway around the world the chance to get an education.

Sarah Pasha, a junior at Lamar School, has started a community project through her participation in the Leadership Lauderdale program. Her goal is to collect 1,000 books to fill a junior high school library in Ghana as she partners with the African Library Project.
There’s currently a drop box for books at Meridian Honda.
