South African wins Freedom Prize

The leader of South Africa’s opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) Mmusi Maimane has won the 2018 Friedrich Naumann Foundation annual Freedom Prize, APA learned.The announcement was made on Thursday evening in Dakar during a conference held under the theme “The Fundamental Value of Liberalism and Freedom” organized on the sidelines of the 62nd congress of Liberal International, which was held in Dakar from November 29 and 30.
