South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has said that the fraud and corruption that took place at the first and only black-owned VBS Bank was a tragedy against the most vulnerable in society, and “that action must be taken against those responsible for the crime.”Responding to oral questions in the National Assembly in Cape Town on Tuesday, the president said: “The real tragedy of VBS is that money was stolen from those in our society who could least afford it.
