Remove barriers to foster African economic migration, CS Yattani tells African states


African countries have been challenged to remove barriers that hinder labour mobility within the continent.

This is in respect to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recent directive to offer free access to visitors from almost all African countries to spur economic development.

Anyone in Africa can now enter the country and obtain a Visa on arrival.

“Besides this, it’s important to mention that within the Northern Corridor of EAC, movement across borders has been significantly eased through the use of only the national identification cards of the member states,” Labour CS Ukur Yattani said.

He spoke on Tuesday at a Nairobi hotel during the symposium on fostering labour mobility within and from Africa.
