It’ll remain hot and humid with heat index values peaking at around 106. No rain is expected.

Our next good chance for rain will come next week as we celebrate our nation’s independence. An area of low pressure within deeper moisture will track from Florida toward Texas, bringing a chance of atmospheric fireworks on July 4th. Our latest data suggests the heavier rain will fall during the early and middle parts of Independence Day, then dissipate before the evening fireworks display.
