New Data Show the Importance of Businesses Owned by African-American Entrepreneurs

In recognition of African American History Month, Linda McMahon, leader of the Small Business Administration, released exciting data revealing that African Americans own 2.6 million small businesses and employ 975,000 people—and generate more than $150 billion in annual receipts

“As we celebrate National African American History Month, I am proud to lead an agency that has played a role in the personal history of so many minority entrepreneurs,” McMahon wrote in a SBA’s blog post.
