Letter: Sheldon Scott must know that threats matter

Dear Sir:

Today I am speaking out and standing up, and it feels good. The health of a democracy depends on the extent to which its citizens accept this practical necessity as our obligation, as our duty as citizens. And our dutiful actions as concerned citizens, which is so vital to our system of government. Denouncing threats of any kind in any form is our fundamental duty as citizens.

It is unbelievably that Sheldon Scott would be telling a born Grenadian, whom I happen to know and work with, a national citizen, that she can’t come back to Grenada, her country of birth, and how he is waiting for her to return, insinuating a troubling threat, which we are taking very seriously. Sheldon Scott, you will not divide us.
