Kenyan badminton roll out African Youth Games plans

After an average performance in last month’s Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, focus now shifts to the third African Youth Games scheduled for July 17-27 in Algiers, Algeria.

It will mark the second visit for Team Kenya in Algeria this year after a good outing during the fifth Africa Cross Country Championships held in Chelf about 200 kilometers from Algeria.

Kenya continued her dominance over the distance topping the medal table with a total of eight medals; three gold, four silver and a bronze medal, ahead of Ethiopia who finished second with five medals (two gold, silver and two bronze medals), Uganda and Morocco who won a team bronze medal each.
