West Indies captain Jason Holder, was recently chosen to lead the ICC World Cup Qualifiers team of the tournament.

The team, which consisted of players from the West Indies, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Ireland, was chosen by a selected jury of cricket commentators including Ian Bishop, Pommie Mbangwa, Lisa Sathalekar, Ian Callender (correspondent, Belfast Telegraph) and Liam Brickhill (correspondent, ICC Digital)

The “jury” noted that Holder showed his class and quality by taking 15 wickets and accumulating 219 runs in the tournament.

He also led the Windies side admirably, steering them to the final of the tournament versus Afghanistan, which won the final recently by seven wickets.
