Hurricane Beryl path: Latest beach conditions for Panama City, Destin, Gulf Shores

Hurricane Beryl is churning closer to the eastern Caribbean but isn’t expected to impact the Gulf Coast. That’s good news for weekend visitors to popular tourist destinations such as Panama City Beach, Destin and Gulf Shores.

Hurricane Beryl had 80 mph winds of as Friday, making it a Category 1 hurricane, according to the National Hurricane Center. It’s expected to increase slightly in strength over the weekend before it hits the islands of the Lesser Antilles as a full-fledged hurricane.
