Hundreds of Buffalo Drown in African River in Attempt to Escape Lions

In a tragic reminder of how harsh the circle of life could be, hundreds of buffalo drowned during a stampede event in the Chobe river, located in the border of Namibia and Botswana in southwestern Africa.

The animals were reportedly trying to escape a pride of lions.
