Georgia State Ranks First In Degrees Awarded To African Americans


ATLANTA–For the sixth consecutive year, Georgia State University is first in the nation among not-for-profit colleges and universities in awarding bachelor’s degrees to African Americans, according to Diverse Issues in Higher Education.

In its just-released rankings, Diverse Issues listed Georgia State first in the U.S. for graduating African-Americans with bachelor’s degrees in biological and biomedical sciences, finance and financial management services; foreign languages, literature and linguistics; history; marketing; psychology; and social sciences.
