Galveston plans third cruise terminal, with Royal Caribbean as operator

The Port of Galveston plans to build a third cruise terminal and will sign a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. for its development and operation.

Long-term agreement to be weighed by board

The MOU will allow negotiations to move forward toward a final, long-term agreement that will require approval by the Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves. This is expected to be presented at the board’s regular monthly meeting in January.
