The first snow of the South African winter arrived on the mountains of the Drakensberg and neighbouring Lesotho on Saturday.

“The snow is really coming down heavily at Sani Mountain Lodge – Sani top – at the moment‚” Snow Report SA said on its Facebook page.

Snow was forecast earlier in the week – and it did not disappoint. If you’re that way inclined, Snow Report SA offers live webcams of areas in the country where snow is likely.
