Eutelsat enables Unbrossa to launch low-cost DTH across Caribbean | Satellite | News


Unique Broadcasting Service (Unbrossa) has inked a multi-year agreement with Eutelsat Americas to launch a low-cost direct-to-home (DTH) platform for the Caribbean.

Following the agreement with the satellite operator, Unbrossa will leverage EUTELSAT 117 West B’s prime coverage of the Caribbean region to launch its pay-TV platform, called Play.

With an offer of over 125 channels, including 25 HD channels, the platform is scheduled to launch this spring, aiming to empower communities in less-developed and isolated areas of the Caribbean. Play will even be available as a solar-powered solution to reach viewers in regions not covered by the electric grid.
