Eisenhower, French Academy partner on innovators exhibit at African-American museum | Local


DECATUR — Students from Eisenhower High School and French Academy have spent their school year researching great, if sometimes forgotten, African-American innovators.

The exhibit was unveiled Thursday morning and will help guests learn more about 18 great African-American innovators such as George Washington Carver.

“Just seeing the project through to start to finish, and what they’ve created for future generations is really powerful,” said Megan Flanigan, social studies curriculum coordinator for the Decatur School District. “We’re so proud of them.”
