Dismissed UTT lecturers demand withdrawal of termination letters


Dismissed University of Trinidad and Tobago lecturers are lobbying for the withdrawal of dismissal letters delivered to them last Friday. 

Eleven lecturers were served with termination letters, while nearly 30 more are reportedly expected to be sent home. 

Upon the invitation of the dismissed UTT Staff, the Sanctuary Trade Union will be representing their interest regarding their employment status with the University.

While on Friday 40 staff members were identified not all staff members actually collected their respective dismissal letters. 

The 11 fired lecturers will be convening on the Omeara Road UTT Campus and be lobbying for the immediate and unequivocal withdrawal of their dismissal letters.
