David Warner smashes back into form in Caribbean Premier League; Aaron Finch on fire for Surrey | Cricket

David Warner has blasted his way back into form, carrying his bat with a striking half century for St Lucia in their thrilling Caribbean Premier League battle against Trinbago Knight Riders.

Prior to Friday’s (AEST) knock, the Australian batsman had managed just 27 runs in three matches for St Lucia this season.

However, Warner belted 72 off just 55 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes as he carried St Lucia to an imposing 212 for the loss of just two wickets.

An opening partnership of 49 with Andre Fletcher (17) carried into a 79-run stand with big bopper Rahkeem Cornwall (53) and an 84-run stand with Kieron Pollard, who hit seven over the fence to tally 65 off just 23 balls.
