Costa Rica Concludes Participation in Central American and Caribbean Games With 26 Medals


The XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games celebrated this year in Barranquilla, Colombia, came to an end this August 3rd. Costa Rica concluded its participation with 26 medals in total.

Costa Rica only won one gold medal, which came from the participation of Andrea Vargas in the athletics competition of 100 meters hurdles.
The country also achieved six silver medals, three in taekwondo, two in racquetball, and one in female soccer.

The rest of the medals were bronce, achieved in the following disciplines: karate (3), bowling (3), boxing (2), swimming (2), cycling (1), taekwondo (4), athletics (1), racquetball (3).
