Columbia police search for murder suspects – News – The Daily Herald


The Columbia Police Department is searching for two men suspected of involvement in a local murder.

Clifton Craig, 30, and Kavaris Booker, 28, are both wanted on charges of first-degree murder by the Columbia Police Department in connection to the shooting of 47-year-old Derrick Wells.

According to the police, the incident occurred at Columbia’s River Villa Apartments at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Craig is identified as an African-American male standing at 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Booker is identified as an African-American male standing at 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Officers responded to shots fired at approximately 1:27 a.m….
