Clevertronics to replace Blackwoods at Spooner family’s Caribbean estate


Financial Review Rich Listers the Spooner family have struck a major leasing deal in Melbourne’s south-east after signing up lighting company Clevertronics as a tenant at its Caribbean Park business estate in Scoresby.

Clevertronics, which specialises in emergency and exit lighting, has signed a 10-year lease for Caribbean Park’s Blackwoods building at 1 Caribbean Drive.

The 9460 square metre lease will see Clevertronics replace industrial supplier Blackwoods, a subsidiary of ASX-listed Wesfarmers, as the tenant from early 2019. Clevertronics will pay net rent of about $90 per square metre and undertake a major retrofit and refurbishment of the building.
