Caribbean Producers led gains during Thursday’s trading

Caribbean Producers Group (CPJ) hit an all-time high and led gains on Thursday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

The stock gained 12.4 per cent to close at $5.08 with 69,000 units. It is one of the few solid stocks on the junior market that has not yet tripled since listing. Friday bidding for the stock will start at $5.50 but sellers want to sell at $6.00. 

It was followed by Caribbean Cream up 8 per cent to $5.95. Ciboney was the day’s big loser down 15 per cent to 11 cents.

The JSE Combined Index declined by 1,303.02 points (0.43 per cent) to close at 302,548.14. The JSE Index declined by 1,676.81 points (0.57 per cent) to close at 293,930.32.
