Caribbean Premier League 2018 video: Steve Smith out for duck

STEVE Smith suffered a short stay at the crease in his fifth outing in the Caribbean Premier League, perishing for a second-ball duck.

The exiled Australian star was the third man out in the space of four balls for the Barbados Tridents against the Trinbago Knightriders, stumped off the bowling of left-arm finger-spinner Khary Pierre in the second over.

Coming out to bat after Dwayne Smith and Shamar Springer fell to back-to-back deliveries — DR Smith bowled by Pierre and Springer run out — Smith survived the team hat-trick ball only to walk past the second delivery he faced. The right-hander was done in by a wicked bit of dip from Pierre, failing to get to the pitch of a delivery that spun sharply past the outside edge.
