Caribbean News –  This Caribbean Island Is Under A Hurricane Advisory As Beryl Is Forecast To Strengthen

News Americas, MIAMI, FL, Sat. July 7, 2018: A Caribbean nation that was devastated during the 2017 hurricane season was under a hurricane watch last night as forecasters of the National Hurricane Center in Miami said Tropical Storm Beryl could become a hurricane by Sunday.

At around 10 p.m. last night, the storm was about 925 miles east south east of the Lesser Antilles as Dominica remained under a hurricane watch.

At press time, the storm had reached wind strengths of 80 mph as Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Martin and St. Barthelemy remained under a tropical storm warning.

On the current forecast track, the center of Beryl will approach the Lesser Antilles over the weekend and cross the island chain…
