UAE SUPPORT FOR STORM PROJECTS

THE UNITED Arab Emirates (UAE) has confirmed that it will provide $34.5m (£26.5m) in grants for renewable energy projects in the Caribbean built to withstand Category 5 hurricanes. UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, said: “Hurricanes Irma and Maria were a wake-up call for us.”
