ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) — The Booker Washington Center is adding a new addition to help the community learn and connect with African American culture. The inspiration behind the library is a local community leader and former State Representative.
“It’s a great situation to be in and I’m just proud to be a part of it,” said former state representative Chuck Jefferson.
Chuck Jefferson was honored by the African American Resource Center at the Booker Washington Center by opening and dedicating a library in his name.
