Charles Town today

CHARLES TOWN — The 26th African-American Cultural & Heritage Festival will continue today with a parade beginning at noon from West 3rd Avenue in Ranson to the festival ground, 300 South Lawrence St., in Charles Town. Local school bands and independent marching units from Maryland will participate. The festival this year focuses on the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War 1.

Parking restrictions set for annual parade

CHARLES TOWN–The 26th Annual Jefferson County African American Cultural & Heritage Parade will begin at 12 p.m. today in the downtown business district. The parade will begin on North George Street and end at the intersection of West Congress Street and South Lawrence Street.
