AKA Inc. to host annual ‘African-American History’ program in P’Ville | Black History Month

PLEASANTVILLE — Local organizations and leaders will host an annual African-American History program in Pleasantville Sunday as Black History Month draws to a close.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s Theta Kappa Omega Chapter of Atlantic City will bring community members together for “The Many Faces of the African American Women: Home is Where the Heart Is, Celebrating Mothers, Caregivers and Homemakers” at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 320 New Road, at 4 p.m.

The event will include speakers, special guests and leaders in the community, including Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson, Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam, Jr., and Pleasantville Mayor Jesse Tweedle.
