In 1978, Tunisia became the first African nation to win a game in a FIFA World Cup, defeating Mexico 3 – 1 in Rosario. Tunisia didn’t qualify for the World Cup again until twenty years later.

Tunisia scored a second goal in a space of 7 minutes… to give Africa their much-awaited first World Cup win.
