African Economists meeting in Kampala to discuss Africa’s economic challenges

Uganda is hosting the 20th African Economic Research Consortium that has brought together Central Bank Governors, economists and other policy actors from across the continent.

Officiating at the start of the two-day event, Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, underscored the need for harnessing technology and best practices among the different economic blocs.

Rugunda emphasised to the delegates that Uganda which has just hosted the EAC Infrastructure Summit is keen on ensuring full integration with the $100 Billion dollar EAC Bloc to SADC and COMESA.
