African Children’s Choir to perform Feb. 28 in Holden, Worcester – Entertainment & Life –

HOLDEN — Going to an African Children’s Choir concert can change children’s lives. After Tina Sipp saw the choir perform, it transformed hers.  

Now she’s the choir manager of the African Children’s Choir, which will be performing at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Holden Christian Academy in Holden. Earlier in the day, the choir will also be at radio station WICN in Worcester at 10:45 a.m. (reservations are required for the WICN performance).

Eighteen children (10 girls and eight boys) ages 7 to 10 and all from Uganda make up this edition of the African Children’s Choir, which dates back to 1984. They will perform a mix of ethnic worship music, gospel and contemporary Christian music, as well as dances and drumming.
