Amazingly, it was addressed to me – an inner-city African American man and a public school system graduate: Dayton Belmont High. President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump invited me and others from throughout the country to a Feb. 13 event to recognize African-American History Month.

My first response was, “God you are so awesome!” But my wife added more context. “There are over 42 million African Americans in the United States, and you were one of the few that have had this opportunity,” she said.
