African-American Festival focuses on community and inclusiveness | News

Overcast skies couldn’t put a damper on the community spirit of participants at the Blount County African-American Festival Saturday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Alcoa.

Not with the aroma of soul food cooking, inspiring rhythmic sounds in the air and stylish fashion on display at Part I of the two-day festival sponsored by sponsored annually by Mother Love Baptist Church.
