The 34th Annual African American Heritage Banquet was held at the Bessemer Civic Center on Friday, February 23. It was presented By The Concerned Citizens Of The Bessemer Cut-Off. This years theme was “African Americans In Times Of War.” The Prelude was given by Reverend Charles Diggins. The Negro National Anthem was sung. The invocation was given by Reverend Tony William, Associate Minister, Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Welcome and Occasion was presented by Mrs, Johnnye P.
